In the case of the FST-R, the regulator is built in to the surge tank and is recirculating fuel internally. This volume is maintained by the main fuel tank’s (lift) pump as well as the fuel returning from the fuel pressure regulator. The volume of fuel inside the surge tank acts as a buffer to always keep the FST pump supplied with fuel. The FST fuel pump feeds the fuel rail(s). The OEM 2-bolt IACV bypass hard line is replaced by a billet aluminum IACV spacer kit t o gain clearance for the top feed fuel rail. This kit is compatible with all fuel types including popular alcohol mixtures such as E85. They are O-ring sealed and designed for 14mm top feed injectors. The Radium fuel rail converts the OEM side feed fuel injector setup to top feed, allowing the use of high flow fuel injectors (not included). Manufactured with a 0.69" large internal bore, the fuel rail can support all necessary engine power requirements.
